Weeds

Ok, so I recently started watching season 1 of the Showtime series "Weeds" (via Showtime On Demand).

Every time I see the opening, I'm reminded of one of these recent large developments of McMansions. I believe the show is supposed to be in LA somewhere, but I think it really looks like it could be some large development out in Riverside.

The cloned houses, cars, people, etc...cracks me up.

I also watched one episode last night (#8, I think?) where they had a great commentary on stupid house designs. The wife was going on about how much she hated the house, in particular the open-air atrium that she had to walk through to get to the kitchen and that if it was raining, she'd get wet just so she could get a midnight snack. Reminded me of another thread on the forum about unpermitted additions like walking through a bedroom to get to a kitchen.

svferris, thanks for the link. I don't have cable. I'll rent the DVD on Netflix.

Watching the opening made me think how dreadful my life in the suburb is.  It sucks,  help..!
