So the major media continues So the major media continues it’s lamenting the Russian meddling in our election. I’m curious what people think was more damaging to Hillary’s campaign. The actual content of the emails or what to me seemed very much like the major media’s ‘nothing to see here’ coverage of the email leaks.
I saw numerous articles during the election, and yesterday the LA Times posted yet another editorial board opinion complaining about Russian meddling in the election. Prior to the election, I saw much the same. Any article mentioning the leak usually started building the case to dismiss the data and source in the 2nd paragraph.
Given the disgusting nature of the campaign, particularly by the later reaches, distrust and tuning out was becoming the norm.
Yet, when the email content is implying the likes of NBC gaming the release of reports for maximum impact against Trump and then coverage of said reports basically ‘nothing to see here’ just Russia meddling. Kind of the emperor has no clothes moment.

NPR had a short interview NPR had a short interview with a woman in Wisconsin, probably in her 50’s. Life-long, generational dem voter. The woman voted for republican candidate for the first time in her life. Why? She really does not like Obamacare. Which part of it she does not like? She does not like the cost – her daughter’s family premium is too high. She liked the coverage, she did not mind stifling competition, forcing insurers to insure everybody, abortion coverage, mandate… she only did not like the cost.
Based on that sample of 1, Trump won because ACA failed to contain the cost of insurance.
