OT: Well, it's not a garage lift that I originally wanted but it will do for nowUser Forum Topic

I came to the sad conclusion last month don't have enough clearance to put in a real car lift, after speaking with a few vendors. Bummer. But a friend told me about QuickJack gives enough clearance for about 90% of the work.... Costco.com was running a sale on them, so I picked up a pair... I wish I had done this sooner. Night and day difference. And at maximum height, there's enough space to drop a differential or transmission. It works on 5 of the 6 cars. Can work on the X5 if I get the SUV/Truck extension kit...though the X5 is pretty close to the 5000lb load limit... Not bad for $1400 including sales tax. I figure I break even if I use it 14 times... 12 more times to go ...heh heh
