OT: Mover recommendations....

User Forum Topic

Hello all,

The home purchase experience continues...

Wanted to know if anyone has recommendations for movers? (I'm sure this has been asked before, sorry Rich....)

We have a full 2 bedroom apartment and are moving to a house. So, relatively tame move and want to do
it safely but for as little as fricking possible.

We'd love to find a company that could do the furniture move and leave all the little boxes to us. We are making lots of good progress moving the
little stuff! Hooray!

I never recommend movers because anything can go wrong and probably will so I dont want to get blamed when it does. My advice is close your eyes, pick one and pray.

They did a good job.

Used these guys a couple months ago and were very impressed - professional and very careful with our stuff:

I've had three good experiences with Discount Movers, except for the part where they encourage tipping (although they work their asses off and deserve it). However, as with any movers, you have to supervise, because they all emphasize speed over being careful (at least in front of the client). Move the breakables yourself.
