I started watching Spanish series Isabella about the queen to practice my language skills. Now there are so many good European shows they make up 2/3 of what I watch the past couple years. It is hard to pick, but I think my overall favorite of them was Deutchland 82, a cold war action-spy show.

Caliphate is a Swedish show about stopping an ISIS plot and it takes place half in Syria half in Sweden.

Occupation is political thriller, a bit like Red Dawn if it were a prestige TV show, the Russians take over Norway after the US leaves Nato.

Isabel was great too, reminded me of HBO’s Rome in its ambition to recreate history.

Did you watch Casa de Papel? I heard it’s a top rated series in Europe.
Bella Ciao is a great song, very Antifa.

I don’t watch TV except for the news and lectures on YouTube.
I like Spanish and French language news to practice my language skills.
