Well, considering that I released my product last night at midnight , finished 2 designs, reviewed 3 other people’s design, completed 2 implementations that I didn’t sign up for, picked up and spent time with my kid, sold my Dow stock after banking $5/share in the past couple of days, and still had time to post drivel, I think I did use my time pretty well.

It’s seems it’s always a conservative argument to claim thing in the vein as “I make more money than you; I work harder; my profession is superior; therefore, I’m right.”
I’m not impressed and I don’t buy that.
Do I care if flu supervises designers and sold DOW stocks? No. And that doesn’t allow him to trump my arguments.
I don’t bring my personal “qualifications” into this blog because I want to let my words speak for themselves.

The problem with the left in this country is that they appear to have only one billionaire, George Soros, who’s bankrolling everything that they do.
Amateurs.
Look at how much smarter the right is: they have Richard Scaife, Rupert Murdoch, Charles and David Koch. I find Murdoch’s story particularly touching: in 1985, at age 54, he gave up his Australian citizenship for that of the United States.

It’s freaking jocktober, why It’s freaking jocktober, why is anyone listening to npr or fox news right now. Baseball is one game away from deciding the division series winner (2 games max), football is in the meat of the season (both pro and college), hockey is in full swing and the NBA season starts on Tuesday!!!!!! The new Miami heat, Durant’s thunder ready to take the next step, the baby bulls growing up, the aging celtics and my beloved lakers with a few new pieces and a less crazy artest perhaps with a 50% understanding of the triangle offense. This could be the end of the Phil Jackson Era, the most successful coach in any sport in any time in history. Throw in the fact that I have to also follow high school sports in support of my kids (and now that one of them is a cheerleader, I have to attend multiple sports on multiple days per week, even those that I am unfamilar with the rules) why would I care what the rest of the world is doing. I’m not even sure what wars are currently taking place or what political party is currently in power unless ESPN has reported it. Does it really matter, nobody wins the wars, the political parties are equally worthless, politics is ridiculous, and ideologies are for the dog days of summer.
My media input in the morning consists of Dan Patrick on Fox Sports Radio (does that qualify as fox news). If I’m driving alone and they start talking about nascar I’ll switch to the virus on XM, catch opey and anthony or ron and fez because they say bad words. Sportscenter without volume during the afternoon while at the gym, sportscenter with multiple gamecasts in the evening, high school sports on thursday, fridays and saturdays, baseball every night of the week, college football on thursdays (the ducks looked great tonight) and saturdays, pro football sunday and monday, and very soon basketball every night of the week. And flu wants to know if I listen to npr or fox news. Seriously, if Jesus were to decide that this was the year that he was going to make his much discussed return, could he please not do it in October. It’s the best month ever, and it’s capped off with halloween parties where women wear slutty outfits, even nice girls break out the cleavage and fishnets. Especially with one of the more popular costumes this year being various cast members of Jersey Shore, I’m thinking it’s gonna be sluttier than the elvira years. Only once in the last six years have I even had a girlfriend at this time of the year and it was brutal trying to juggle it all.
If you answered anything but “none of the above,” stop doing what you are doing and change your routine. If you even listen to npr or watch any news for more than 15 minutes until november, go see a doctor. Your blood pressure and your libido will thank you. This is the time to stop and enjoy life because before long we are all going to die and democrat “this” or republican “that” isn’t going to mean a damn thing. You can deal with that crap in November.

Zeitgeist, why the hell did Zeitgeist, why the hell did you resurrect this thread???.
I think a lot of the people responding now missed out on the original parody of this thread. It was a parody to the plethora of posts that one member at one point was doing regarding polls (I believe the last one was about NPR) whom have since them reformed (more or less)….
I could care less if people what fox news or npr or if they do it before, after, or during pee time or what they had for breakfast that led to pee time, whether it was corn flakes, rice crispies, or for that matter if corn flakes tastes like pee+rice crispies…But if you must share that TMI tidbit, that’s all good too…

You do realize that Brian and I have in more recent times kissed and made up (sort of)…And to Brian’s credit, he was been more or less on topic these days. Thumbs up….
I mean, I think I’m at a point that I could probably to a Kumbayah duet with Brian. In fact, I invited him to the next tea party I’m having over Halloween. The caveat is that he needs to dress up like Sarah Palin or Christine O’donnell and I ‘llshow up dressed up like Nancy Pelosi. Hmmm, I think he got the better end of the deal since how hard could it be to imitate Palin or O’donnell…You just need to wear glasses, carry a bible, talk about creationism, and make up words as you go along….But regardless, the three would definitely make for a scary halloween. Sorry, I couldn’t resist…
Still trying to figure out who AN should come as. Maybe a fireman, but instead of carrying an ax, just have dollar bills oozing out of the pockets with a nametag saying Retired at 40…. I’m kidding, I’m kidding….
Oh crap, I should have thought about this earlier. We should have had a halloween bash where you have to dress up as your favorite economic/political meltdown character…..I wonder who would make a good Ken Lewis or Angelo Mozilo… We also need a squater that has a ball and chain tied to a small doll house.

NBA — F it Lebron ruined it for me with his TV BS. Oh sure I’ll get sucked in, mostly as a Heat hater. Rooting for Orlando/Boston in the east and LA in the west to take out overrated Bosh and company.
Dan Patrick in the AM. Never does NPR, Rush, Hannity or FoxNews enter into the household. That’s why I am wondering why someone wants to get their kid caught up in a cause. See Cardiff, I knew I’d find See Cardiff, I knew I’d find one other person out there, the rest of the sports fans are…well, too involved right now to even read piggington. I know we will be dismissed as simpletons, that our brains cannot wrap themselves around intellectual concepts such as politics, but it’s not entirely accurate. I’ve reached a point in life where I realize the futility of politics, the same way I stopped arguing or worrying about religion. Zeitgeist suckered me into this thread and I took the bait, so while were here, let me throw my latest theory on politics and how people can get off track like men can with internet porn.
Allow me to explain, most people devote a small amount of time to worrying about politics, when big stuff happens or the few weeks before elections. If left to their own devices, some will wander too deep into it, become too involved to be normal and they will dismiss the mainstream as stupid, choosing to go deeper into one of two directions. After a period of time, they can no longer see where they are or know how they got there, they become part of either “wing.” It becomes too important for us to enjoy things and it will never bring true joy to our lives.
Same as with internet porn. Most people dabble a little, watch the previews, keep up with the latest grooming trends and see what new and interesting acts they have invented. But if a man were single, with nobody looking at his credit card bill, he’ll join those sites. Next thing you know, the basic blond hottie in her 20’s does nothing for him. He’s watching the one’s with 40+ year old women or the ones with giant silicon free watermelon sized breasts or huge butts. Then he starts thinking perfection is overated, a little cellulite is good, all women like threesomes, wrinkles make them look authentic and basic sex between just two people is just boring. Next thing you know, you go to a party with your friends and go home with…..well you get the picture and of course this in no way is my personal story, it’s entirely hypothetical, of course, for illustration purposes only.
The point is, balance is the key, otherwise you get dissilusioned, because in the real world politics doesn’t matter and very few women want or will even allow you to ……I digress.
Politics and porn are both best in moderation, trust me on this one.
Gotta go, college football has started on T.V.

This is the funniest post from you thus far. Great job Brian. You calling someone juvenile, haha.
Btw, what is your argument? Your words are speaking very loudly for themselves. You might want to contain them, since they’re not painting a very good picture of you.

Oh, and as for my morning coffee accompaniment, neither NPR or Fox. I like the sensation of repeatedly slamming my head against concrete but am annoyed by my neighbors’ concerned looks so, instead, I tune into CSPAN’s Washington Journal and listen to incredibly uninformed and misinformed people from all over the country call in to discuss the important issues of the day.
Actually, it’s turned out to be a real timesaver for me: I no longer have to tune in to Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck the day before. I can count on having the callers regurgitate Rush and Glenn’s talking points pretty much verbatim.

It’s freaking jocktober, why
It’s freaking jocktober, why is anyone listening to npr or fox news right now.

Zeitgeist, why the hell did you resurrect this thread???.
I think a lot of the people responding now missed out on the original parody of this thread. It was a parody to the plethora of posts that one member at one point was doing regarding polls (I believe the last one was about NPR) whom have since them reformed (more or less)….
I could care less if people what fox news or npr or if they do it before, after, or during pee time or what they had for breakfast that led to pee time, whether it was corn flakes, rice crispies, or for that matter if corn flakes tastes like pee+rice crispies…But if you must share that TMI tidbit, that’s all good too…
Personally, I like reading piggington when I’m on the can, which happens a lot these days for me now. Heck, maybe I should get an iPad and just install it like a flatscreen right next to my can….
Excuse me partly tipsy stupor now…I had a pretty fine evening with some suds…

TG big fat amen. Have a kid
TG big fat amen. Have a kid playing varsity football, both will be playing baseball this spring, and thus we go and hit at least once a week. Got the 8th grader playing fall ball and working out with the HS team. Both active in events. College football makes me a vegetable on Saturdays. And we try to lift weights and have some fun.
Sure if you hate sports or the outdoors (camping/biking/mt. climbing/surfing/skiing or whatever)… If you have exhausted #1 (kids sports), #2, (following pro-college sports, lifting) and #3 (activity), then plan 4 is drink wine right?
If after that you have time to listen to Alan Grayson ads and want to get involved, by all means go for it. Hell I didn’t even mention Dexter that has to slip in their before politics too…

See Cardiff, I knew I’d find
See Cardiff, I knew I’d find one other person out there, the rest of the sports fans are…well, too involved right now to even read piggington.
