Thanks for the tip. Obama will be speaking shortly. I guess there won't be any Celebrity Apprentice tonight. A coincidence? I don't think so.

The WH declared a LID (news blackout) about 90 minutes ago.

I suspect that is when they knew.

Just confirmed that it was non-droned human contact outside Islamabad and that the US has now got the body in Afghanistan.

Anyone thinks it's a body double?

Do we need the long form death certificate?

It's a conspiracy. The work of the Devil.

The powers that faked Obama's birth certificate are out to get us. Obama will turn into Bin Laden; and it will be the end of Western civilization.

Wake up people. Resist while there's still time.

Today I'm going to eat some pork chops, drink alcohol, watch porn and educate the women.

sleeper cells might be active tonight. would be easily a moment to be interpreted as the "trigger" for further destruction before more "man-made contingencies" fall upon them... if you know what I mean...

@urbanrealtor

better to think critically than to not think at all...as my grand pappy used to say ;)

Relishing in revenge does not reflect well on any society. This is true especially when it is a symbolic revenge that misdirects much capacity for critical thinking.I am having visions of that American soldier who was drug around on a chain tied to a pick-up through the streets of Somalia.

Realizing the event will be the launching platform for the U.S. presidential re-election of a recent Nobel Peace Prize winner is even more demoralizing. Now,if we can just get more oil, it will be a slam dunk for the Chief.

How do you think Obama should handle the news? This is good news for all Americans.

Rustico,

As anyone who has read my posts here for the last 6 or 7 years will tell you, I don't generally call others names, and I generally prefer to pick weak arguments apart piece by piece.

But with you I'm going to take a different tack.

You're a moron. You are just wrong every time you type. For you to talk about critical thinking is a joke. From your biased approach to alcoholism, which completely lacked in critical thinking, to your biased approach to the origins of homosexuality, which further displayed your inability to think critically, to your assertion that we are relishing in revenge when we are in fact celebrating a military victory which will rob al qaeda of some of its leadership, to your sideways, right wing noise machine-inspired, vague swipes at the president, you have consistently demonstrated that you have no critical thinking skills. And the worst part is that you think you're a critical thinker. You blame your poor writing skills on being a high school dropout. You're wrong. You have poor writing and thinking skills because you're a moron.

I agree that the above post does nothing to demonstrate my critical thinking skills. I think I've displayed them enough over the last 6 years that I can take one post off.

Rustico a right-winger? How long have you been on this site?

Submitted by CDMA ENG on May 2, 2011 - 8:32am.

So we fucked it up again.

Pure and simple. I cannot figure out why people are dancing in the streets?

Let's look at this. 36 Navy SEALs from DEVGRU, better known as SEAL Team 6 go up against five knuckleheads with AKs. DEVGRU is the ultra elite of the SEAL and Special Ops community. They could have just as easily slide into that compound at night and put guns to peoples heads before Osama even knew what was going on. ST6 is the very best in the body snatch. So why didnt this happen? It wasn't lack of thier ability. It was Policy. This was a hit pure and simple. If the adminstration had really wanted Osama could have been already in GITMO in a custom made rubber room.

So why I am so object to his death? It is exactly what he wanted and needed. To die a Martry at the hands of the US and to rally his fighters. Not to die alone, miserable, and not a martyr like a rat in a cage...

Obama is acting like Bush and I expected better. Hell we even went so far as to bury him within 24 hours of his death as not to rile the muslim community (at least the militant ones).

Bad... Just fucking bad policy decisions. I am sure mine are not the best but surely this could have been handled better.

I didn't say he was a right winger. I said his vague swipes at the president were inspired by the right-wing noise machine.

Didn't mean to piss you off ZK.
I did go to a school that emphasized insight and sarcasm before I dropped out. Yes, it was public.

I did not make a vague swipe at Obama. He was just collateral damage.

Do you at least agree that we bombed Libya because Qaddafi is known to have had a surgeon put pig fat in his face?

I agree it could have been handled a lot better - he deserved to rot in a cage, or at least be pig food. Burying him quickly "according to Islamic traditions" was a HUGE mistake (we're apologetic even in a moment like that?? I'd have thrown him into an alligator pit). But I also don't think he looked like a martyr. He lived and died a coward, in better conditions than most of his minions have ever seen, and they'll realize that.

The important thing is that the net effect for them is demoralizing (the most clever and resourceful among them cannot escape us), no matter how they try to spin it, and boy will they try to spin it...

Burial at sea was the perfect choice for a dead body. (Had he been alive, it would have been a whole different story.) At sea, there is no grave. No memorial to permanently celebrate his martyrdom. I suspect the location where the corpse was dumped (probably still bleeding, and well weighted, in accordance with Islamic law, of course) won't ever be disclosed for that same reason.

We don't often agree, but we do on this. There is no honor in the celebration of death. Ever.

I appreciate that SK.
I actually agree with you often and find your posts quite good... it just mostly happens when I am in ROM.

I think we did the right thing killing him.

If have captured him alive, it would have turned into a circus. No trial, no jail, no argument over where to keep him, no 20 year trials, no argument over death penalty, just shot dead. Beautifully done.

Only bummer is that they dumped his body in the ocean. They should've mummified him and put it in the Smithsonian.

Because now the conspiracy nuts going to keep insisting he is really alive and Obama faked it for election. You all know this BS is coming....

It felt weird at Lindbergh Field this morning, with few TSA people packing the remaining scanners. Maybe the patdowners can get a job as prison guards? They should be well qualified.

False, most "conspiracy nuts" thought him to be dead a long time ago. And this according to, top terror experts, intelligence analysts, academics, government officials, and even major political figures from over the years.

Actually, Benazir Bhutto said in an interview a few months before her assassination that he was dead

I am hoping that OBL really is alive, and that the burial at sea a ruse. I want to believe that we got him alive and are now working diligently to get every bit of information his brain has to offer.

Although the dancing in the streets IMHO is out of character for Americans, the thought of getting to the rest of Al Qaeda does have me smiling.
