User Forum Topic
Hi all --
I've installed a module that allows registered users to ignore other users whose posts they don't find interesting.
To add or remove a user from your ignore list, click the "My ignore list" link on the left menu.
You will still see a stub for ignored users' posts, but the text of the post will be hidden -- instead, there will be a statement that you are ignoring that user, and a link that allows you to toggle the visibility of that specific post.
Let me know if anyone runs into any issues with this functionality.

Awesome! I know who the first two on my list are. I think you should put up a list oif the most ignored posters. I wouldnt care if I was on it.
Yes, why would you want to read somebody with a different opinon?
Although I disagree with most of your posts, the wine ones are informing, I try to be open minded to all, even yours. If everyone agreed on everthing on this board it would be a total suckfest..............
Can I ignore myself?
It's not about differing opinions, it's about people who constantly opine on topics that you don't find interesting. It's basically a threadjack mitigation tool.
desmond you arent even close to getting on my list.
I get on my nerves and I've heard all my shit a million times
Good, then watch my latest video:

Is there a way to see who is ignoring you? :)
No you can't, I tried...
Goto "my ignore list" and then try to add yourself...
You can't add yourself to your own ignore list
If one of those users was me, I'd be ever so obliged if you would begin ignoring me NOW. :=D And thank you in advance of your "diss!"
And I just want to wish you and yours "Happy Holidays in `Gridlocked Nirvana'" before you completely shut me out . . . :=0

In what way does this impact sharks?
I have a sense I will be ignored more.
Damn.
oh! I don't agree with this at all. Sorry Rich. There is nothing more important than learning from others. And in order to do that dialogue should be as open as possible,...even amongst those who disagree.
It is possible that someone who has been "ignored" might actually have something constructive to say at some point, no?
Does it edit all of the ignoreds posts? Or just the threads they start? It could make some subsequent statements in response to the ignored difficult to understand.
I already feel confused

Once again, it's not about disagreement. It's about being able to hide posters who consistently make comments that you find uninteresting or irrelevant. If there's nobody that fits that bill for you, then don't use it.
I already feel confused
It hides all comments from an ignored user. If you get confused, that's what the "click here to view this post" link is for.
There once was a pigg, a real loser
Who was known as a bore and a boozer
He drunk posted about
A zombie with gout
Now everyone hits 'Ignore User'
Does a post that is universally ignored make any sound?
In a few months it would be fun to see a Top 10 list of most ignored users.
I'm gonna put powayseller on my list, just for old times sake.
I wouldn't ignore somebody w/ a different opinion, just the same one over and over and over.
I don't think we should be able to know if we are ignored. Feelings might be hurt.
Everyone should get a trophy. Atrophy.
Can someone please tell me what walterwhite just said ?
I feel like rich toscano duct taped my mouth.
I asked if you can see who ignored you... I guess walter, half drunk and/or half confused was answering to that.
Well, if you REALLLLLLLLY want to, you can "ignore user" Rich too...Though, fundamentally, there's something wrong with that...
I have a strict no ignore policy. Many times great ideas come from morons, boors and fools.
I haven't had a drink sine September 29. It's part of my muscular development program.
I should point out that my limerick was not meant to represent any particular pigg, but rather a fictional phantom pigg with attributes exhibited by any number of piggs. Including myself.
right.
