figure there should be a thread about various RE listings piggs find interesting,...

here is one for the "uptown" area,... which I found in my eMail AND said highest price per sq ft (just sold)

https://communications.northmarq.com/233...

...what caught my eye was the figure $671 per sq ft AND was wondering if there is a record of average price per sq ft of real estate sold,... (if there is such a thing) figure it might be an interesting way to see what trends happened over time

$671 doesn't seem super high if it includes a lot of parking and A+ condition.

I see OB/PB/LJ homes sell over $1k/sf regularly. If the commercial part includes a liquor license and there's high end residential above, there you go, just average $900/sf for the residential half and 400/sf for the commercial bottom.

Interestingly, residential is worth so much more than commercial space that the city has to cajole and incentivize developers to include ground level commercial space.

I think it was at the Upper Voltaire high end townhouse development on the OB hill where the single commercial space was empty for years and eventually converted to residential.

the reason I bring up the topic of looking at RE prices per sq foot is because I'm trying to get a sense of trends (in the SD area)

looking at the bigger picture (e.g. out side the SD area over "time"),... median RE prices seem like chump change
