Looking for HELOC, where do i go for cheapest rate?

Since my home's equity is on the rise, i m thinking of getting a HELOC for emergencies.

I have only shopped around at Chase and their lowest rate is 4.99% and no fees to do the HELOC. My credit is in the 800s if you were wondering.

Are there any banks doing HELOC at prime? If so, which one...

Check out the credit unions. Penfed.org has a 3.75%variable HELOC with closing costs promo. Up to 80% LTV with max of $400k on owner occ, or they have a 5/5 HELOC product up to 75% LTV where the rate only changes every 5 years.

I've used them a couple of times on a 1st and once for a HELOC. Pretty easy to do business with.

Agree. Check out credit unions. Mission fed had 3.5%. We looked at sign, but decided to just pay cash for home uogrades, so never went any further.
