Meat eating caused the coronavirus.

Veganism caused my cholesterol level to go from bad to optimal in 3 months.

Meat industry is primarily responsible for global warming.

We treat animals shitty and that is bad karma.

It is immoral to eat meat.

I'm going to a 10 day silent meditation retreat to try to clear my head.

Congrats scaredy. I’m glad you got your cholesterol under control in a natural way.

I know a redneck that has turned vegetarian because his health is falling apart. late is better than never. I want to rub it in but I have been very nice and kept my mouth shut.
This dude has made so much fun of tree huggers that he kinda deserves the return karma. But he’s seen the light

So disappointed! The epic virtue signaling has me physically ill. Not sure if it's my own failing health or having to read about your estrogen levels rising to dangerous levels.

Perhaps I am unqualified to challenge any man's masculinity since I recently installed Japanese toilets in two of my four bathrooms, it's a matter of time before I convert them all. In my defense I did spend two weeks in Asia last year in a hotel equipped with Toto washlets. The experience ruins ruins you, once you experience that you just cant go back to toilet paper, it seems inhumane.

Wow, Toto washlet! You did spend some money to get electrical outlets near the toilets.

I put them into my furnished rentals as a wow factor. I get great reviews. Toto washlets are a great competitive advantage.

Speaking of ass cleaning, veganism does make poop softer and messier. I have a new cheaper solution.

Moisten washcloth.

Apply toilet paper to damp washcloth to dampen tp.

Use as normal.

Works much better.

Look, if you treated an animal at home the way a factory farm does, you would be prosecuted and go to prison. It's pretty clear theres a cognitive disconnect. Our whole society is mad, obviously.

Hell, tying a dog to a tree at home is a crime! Google dog tether law for details. But the factory farms do far far worse.

Maybe a fair compromise is to raise and kill all meat reasonably humanely and build it in the price. A burger might cost 25.00 at in and out. But so be it.

I dont want any fucking statins!!! I dont want or take any meds.

I actually would like to do the right thing for the world and myself, whatever that is, regardless of others perception, but esp. Your perception.

The least harmful way. No more animal human market sicknesses that destroy humanity.no more vague post cholesterol test anxiety.

So just file it away: if someday you get tired of high cholesterol, just eat plants for 3 months. Skip tofu if you fear sissiness. I'm mainly beans n nuts anyway.

Now, the 10 day vipassana meditation retreat [worldwide group, but they're in 29 palms in socal... its free! 10 days room and board, donations accepted only after you finish and leave...no recommended amount...its..not capitalist] might be what irked you. Sitting on a room, silent, for 10 days from 430 am to 9 pm, does sound more oddly threatening to the normal social order than simply giving up meat.

I started barely able to sit for 5 minutes without feeling crazed. I'm up to 1 hour.

Take the 3 minute meditation challenge!

Set your timer for 3 minutes.

Sit still and straight.

Attend to your breathing. Maybe count your breaths, to 10, then start again.

Observe your thoughts as they come. Do not hold on to them. Let each one go.

(You are not your thoughts)

.good luck!! It gets pretty nutty in there when you really closely inspect.

I think it's a general truth that everyone thinks they're pretty much in control of their thoughts...until they attempt to meditate...

As Sparrow in his awesome, humble Guide to Meditation available free at Sun magazine says it's like two separate discos at 2 a.m.

At first I felt like my thoughts were bitchslapping me. Or maybe dragging me away like drunk friends to another bar.

Or wrestling me.

Or carrying me away like a horse.

Or tying me up.

Or breaking into my house and throwing the glassware on the floor.

Now, sometimes, not always, I can see a thought approach me, from a distance. It comes up to my home, Taps on the window. I may not even grant permission to enter!!! The thought slinks away, sadly unengaged.

But a lot of times I get tied up or bitchslapped by my thoughts.

185 total, 61 good, 105 bad, 95 triglycerides, for instance

I had a beyond-meat (Impossible Whopper),
Tastes like crap IMO.

Sorry not my thing I guess.

I will never get another Pet as long as I live in SoCal.
(I am not up to the SoCal pet owner expectations).

You need to train yourself to enjoy real fruits and veggies — as little fake processed stuff as possible. Your health and your figure will appreciate it.

Not saying that we need to cut out meat totally but the amount we consume is insane and harmful. As a whole, we could cut easily meat consumption in 1/2 or 2/3.

Temecula guy, next time you go to Asia, send your wife on a cruise while spend a month backpacking from village to village and learn to eat like the locals — very little meat. Roughing it a little is a good way to prove your masculinity. Your wife would likely complain so she’s best on a cruise ship.

BTW, calorie restriction is scientifically proven to extend life. What’s the use of good financial management if you don’t have commensurate health management. By that, I don’t mean going to the doctor’s and popping pills.

I stop eating after Noon (well maybe an apple somewhere about 2:00 PM) during the work week.
Work out first thing in morning before eating.

Don't really get hungry and staying fairly slim IMO.

Weekend all bets are off as we run around a lot.

Virtue signaling has always been around. It used to be through church attendance and conservative, God approved behavior. Here in San Diego, my parents get frequently invited to church. The neighbors wonder why they are not at one church or another.

We are now in a post superstitious, post religious society so we need new ways of showing virtue. We are still crossing the river, feeling the stones.

Easiest weight I ever lost was from making it a habit to just skip dinner. Long before anyone had heard of "intermittent fasting".

Veganism: it is a triple win. Win for you, win for the environment, and win for the animals.

As for animal products, total instant karma. The Buddha was kinda on to something a few thousand years ago.

In regard to estrogen, no, tofu does not rise estrogen level in men, nor does it suppress testosterone.

On the other hand, fat (especially centralized visceral fat), does actively convert testosterone into estrogen. So that big slab of juicy fatty manly red meat turns more men into sissies than all of the tofu in the world put together. Again, we go back to that instant karma thing.

Karma really is a bitch, preach, Buddha, preach!

I hope coronavirus is fairly non-lethal but reduces human fertility as a side effect. Imagine Mother Gaia getting a respite from human parasitic population growth if it reduces human fertility to (say) an average of one child per couple.

Picture, or it didn't happen...

I put one in about 11 years ago, and expensed it as a medical necessity, with insurance covering part of it.

It comes in handy right after you had your colon taken out and before your small intestines took over the large intestine's normal water absorption function, so you wouldn't need to wipe your butt so frequently and get sore.

I would hardly consider it a "luxury". Imho kinda gross to have water shoot up your ass, unless that's your thing. I rarely use mine now.

The installation isn't really that hard, and it's not that hard to run a 110VAC wire, considering most of the bathrooms already have a light switch, so you just need to plum a normal AC wire from that to a new outlet next to the toilet. Not exactly rocket science. And these days the toilet bidet, as they are called, are cheap because there's so many of them made in China now. Less than $200

Wow. You are right. Those f’ing California liberal snowflakes. What are the rednecks to do?

Summary:
This California law is the state's dog tethering provision. Under the law, no person shall tether, fasten, chain, tie, or restrain a dog, or cause a dog to be tethered, fastened, chained, tied, or restrained, to a dog house, tree, fence, or any other stationary object

I would say what is a Cal-Liberal dog owner to do if he has a dog that likes to jump or dig under fences or and chew up furniture etc... LOL.

I guess the only Humane thing, just never get a dog.

I wonder how many dogs have been euthanized because of laws like this.

Apparently, a choice some parents in the past made, for better or worse.

Is your whole family Vegan now? I’m not Vegan, but I have developed an aversion to burned flesh. Bacon, BBQ and the like are kinda gross. Plus they cause cancer.
