Chargers lose to Raiders

Norv gives one last middle finger to the fans as they beat a pathetic Raiderless team thus assuring a lower draft pick. Probably no big deal, the Chargers would have traded down anyway to avoid paying more if they would have won(lost).

Contrary to your statement, the Chargers are perenially at or near the cap. Try to see the difference between poor coaching, and inept management with being a cheapskate.

The difference in salaries between teams is very small in football, so big deal. (I just threw in a cheap shot at the end that you seemed to take as important)

Wasn't failure in the current market one of the requirements before NFL will allow a team to move? The team will perform worse next year regardless of the management.

Your post had two sentences, one of which was incorrect. Just stating the facts.

What am I missing here? The Chargers finished 7-9, the Raiders 4-12. Had the Raiders won, the Chargers are 6-10 and the Raiders 5-11. The result had no bearing on their relative draft position, so I'm not sure I see the Chargers losing to the Raiders comment.

On the other hand, given the log jam of teams at 7-9 and 6-10, the Chargers may very well have been 5 picks better in the draft had they lost (I'm not going to run any numbers; it is just my guess).

And no, they aren't moving to LA. At this point, it seems that a return of the Rams is the leader in the clubhouse.

It is my understanding both AJ and Norv are out as of today. Finally!
