Congrats.
Is he living the millennial lifestyle? With roommates in a more urban area?

Did he work full or part time?
What was his student loan debt level at graduation?
Did he live at home?
Did he study in an impacted or under resourced major?

Lots of things effect the ease of graduation.

congrats, but interested why he wanted a job right after school with no monetary commitments. I guess for me it would have to be the perfect job. Hope he found it!

Great to hear about your son, and that he is debt free. We made sure our kids were debt free after college also--one all the way through med
school. We (and their grandparents) feel it is one of the greatest gifts we could have ever given them, so I completely understand why you are very proud.

just 20 years, ago i could barely pay my own rent. now ive paid for a whole other human to go to college, study complicated things and to obtain a level of independence. im frankly amazed!!! very glad i overcame my fears and had him.

Nice. I am still paying off the 20k i borrowed for public university. But 30 years at 2.7% fixed. Those cushy federal loans are long gone for current students.

Backpacking in Europe and Asia after school was a great decision for me. It is so hard to take time off work now! But SC Jr has hot skills so can probably find more flexibile employment.

This is a fantastic time to graduate from college. Unemployment is super low, companies are hungry for talent and more willing to train than they have been for a long time.
