Instead of waiting for houses to become abandoned and then pulling them down, local leaders are talking about demolishing entire blocks and even whole neighborhoods.

Can this be a solution to some of the problems in CA, NV, AZ ...?

Maybe, but we know what the issues are with Michigan....Not that GM/Chrysler is going to be expanding payroll in the near future. GM/Chrysler is DOA in a couple of months. And the lack of diversity in industry in going to cost Michigan dearly).

(I bet that Fiat deal with Chrysler is going to fall flat on it's face. Why pay for higher labor costs and all those retiree benefits when Fiat can just wait for a BK and pick up the remaining pieces of Chrysler afterwards?...Then again Bank of America was foolish enough to pick up Countrywide and Merill before a BK too :))

Flint Mich, is losing population big time, maybe NV and AZ are losing population as well.

But that is not the case in CA so no I would not vote to start to level homes unless you think you would really want to drive home prices through the roof again.
